Each individual feather is carefully drawn, with the typical "eyes" in shades of blue and green, surrounded by delicate shades of yellowish-green. The transitions from blue to green and yellow in the feathers are fluid and lifelike. The contrast between the intense blue of the body and the lighter, shimmering tones of the plumage lends the picture depth and vibrancy.
